The number of reported crimes increased by 923 crimes last year.
57.5 percent of all cases were solved.
The clearance rate in the district of Euskirchen has risen by three percent.
The number of underage suspects has increased.
Suspects without a German passport also made more appearances in 2023 (29.55 percent) than in the previous year (24.13 percent).
The development can be clearly seen in the renewed increase in crime in the area of assault and property crimes as well as violent crime overall.
In 2023, 643 cases of domestic violence were reported.
The number of cases (64 in 2023) of resistance to and assault on law enforcement officers and emergency services remained at a high level.
The number of serious thefts, property crimes and the number of thefts of bicycles decreased in the district of Euskirchen.
