Criminal Investigation Department 1

Criminal Investigation Department 1 is based at Kölner Straße 76 and is responsible for dealing with medium to serious crime throughout the district as well as investigating unnatural deaths. Missing persons cases are also processed here. The identification service is attached to Criminal Investigation Department 1.

Crime prevention/victim protection

The employees provide advice on crime and victim protection. They also give talks outside the building and visit interested members of the public for technical advice, for example on technical security for living spaces.

Head of Commissariat 1 is First Chief Detective Inspector Friedhelm Weimann.

Criminal Investigation Department 2

Criminal Investigation Department 2 is also based at Kölner Straße 76 and is responsible for processing crimes that do not fall under the remit of Criminal Investigation Department 1. Detective Unit 2 is responsible for the towns of Euskirchen, Bad Münstereifel, Zülpich and the municipality of Weilerswist, including all districts in each case.

The head of this department is Detective Chief Inspector Markus Hensch.

Criminal Investigation Department 3

Criminal Investigation Department 3 handles all fraud offenses centrally for the Euskirchen district.

The head of this department is First Chief Detective Inspector Lothar Ademes.
